Choosing the Right Pill for the Right Patient: COC or POP? 

This activity reviews practical patient selection using age, VTE risk, migraine, smoking status, or other contraindications.

This activity comprises a short educational video, followed by a reflective activity. Participants must complete both components to qualify for 30 minutes of Reviewing Performance (RP) Hours.

Learning Outcomes

1. Apply individual risk assessment when prescribing oral contraceptives​.
2. Choose between a COC and POP based on patient needs and risk factors​.
3. Recognise contraindications to oestrogen​ long-term treatment adherence.
4. Document contraceptive risk assessment appropriately​.
