Medication-Related Osteonecrosis of the Jaw (MRONJ) and Osteoporosis

Healthy Bones Australia has released its first Consensus Statement on MRONJ and osteoporosis. This activity provides a quick guide to this new guideline.

This activity comprises a short educational video, followed by a reflective activity. Participants must complete both components to qualify for 30 minutes of Reviewing Performance (RP) Hours.

Learning Outcomes

1. Outline the best practice approach to assessing and managing MRONJ risk in osteoporosis care.
2. Critically reflect on recent interactions with patients requiring dental procedures while receiving ARD therapy.
3. Apply guideline-aligned strategies to minimise MRONJ risk in patients with osteoporosis.
