About

The risk of AFF is an over-emphasised concern about ARDs. This activity reviews the evidence on the real risk of AFF in patients treated with ARDs for osteoporosis and provides practical tips for counselling patients.

This activity comprises a short educational video, followed by a reflective activity. Participants must complete both components to qualify for 30 minutes of Reviewing Performance (RP) Hours.

Learning Outcomes

  1. Outline the risks and clinical significance of atypical femoral fracture in osteoporosis care.
  2. Critically reflect on recent interactions with patients concerned about AFF and osteoporosis treatment.
  3. Apply evidence-based approaches to managing and communicating AFF risk.
