Published:

About

The pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic properties of bisphosphonates and densumab dictate how frequently and how long they should be given, and the key considerations for discontinuation. This activity will review the scientific and clinical evidence for long-term ARD therapy as well as guideline recommendations on treatment duration.

This activity comprises a short educational video, followed by a reflective activity. Participants must complete both components to qualify for 30 minutes of Reviewing Performance (RP) Hours.

Learning Outcomes

  1. Outline key pharmacological considerations for long-term ARD therapy.
  2. Critically reflect on recent interactions with patients regarding long-term ARD therapy.
  3. Apply guideline-aligned approaches to treatment duration and discontinuation of ARDs.
