About

This course is for pharmacists to help increase their knowledge of RSV (respiratory syncytial virus) in infants and improve uptake of RSV maternal immunisation in pregnant individuals through the National Immunisation Program, in addition to identifying the recommendations in other 'at risk' groups.

Learning Outcomes

  1. Describe RSV disease burden in infants and other at-risk populations
  2. Identify current RSV prevention strategies, including maternal immunisation
  3. Explain recommended timing, safety, and co-administration of RSV vaccination in pregnancy
  4. Apply evidence-based counselling strategies to address vaccine hesitancy
  5. Describe correct ordering, storage, preparation, administration, and documentation of RSV vaccines
