About

This video explains how to navigate PBS criteria for GLP-1 RAs when first-line therapy is insufficient. It covers what to review when HbA1c remains above target on an SGLT2 inhibitor, the case for starting combination therapy early, and the PBS rules for switching between or combining these agents.

This activity comprises a short educational video, followed by a reflective activity. Participants must complete both components to qualify for 30 minutes of Reviewing Performance (RP) Hours.

Learning Outcomes

  1. Outline the distinction between clinical guideline recommendations and PBS eligibility criteria in T2D treatment.
  2. Critically reflect on your recent patient interactions regarding treatment access and the clinical-PBS gap.
  3. Reflect on how you could improve your navigation of the clinical-PBS gap in your practice.
