Basic Ultrasound For Regional Anaesthesia

Performing a guided regional nerve block is a really important anaesthetic technique to ensure the comfort of the surgical patient.

In this training video developed by Interplast, Dr. Matt Blair and Dr. Hosim Presai Thapa, consultant anaesthetists from the Northern Hospital, Victoria, Australia take the learner through the risks/benefits of a nerve block, the required equipment, techniques for image optimisation, performing a nerve block and post-procedure follow-up.
