Splinting of the hand: resting splint (thumb free)

In this video, Australian hand therapist Megan Fitzgerald demonstrates, step by step, how to splint the hand using a resting splint (thumb free). This video will take the viewer through each stage of the process, including the equipment required (with options for different settings), how best to work with the patient, how to create a pattern, make, and properly fit the splint, and educate the patient so that they are able to self-manage when they return home.
