About

This video teaches, step by step, how to use the ISOBAR algorithm to provide a safe and efficient patient assessment and handover in the post-anaesthetic care unit (PACU, or ‘recovery’). By the end of the video, viewers should be able to recall the steps and the rationale, and demonstrate if a patient meets their organisation’s discharge criteria based on their patient assessment, by utilising the ISOBAR algorithm.
