Learning Outcomes

At the end of this CPD activity, GP participants will be able to:

1. Describe evidence-based primary care strategies for the assessment and management of Premenstrual Syndromes including Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD), including lifestyle, pharmacological and multidisciplinary treatment options.
2. Analyse the hormonal and metabolic mechanisms underlying Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome (PMOS) and assess evidence-based integrative approaches, including nutrition, diet, and lifestyle interventions, for effective condition management.
3. Identify and screen women at increased risk of osteoporotic fractures and utilise and risk management support tools where appropriate.
4. Describe the principles of contrast-enhanced mammography (CEM), identify appropriate patient groups for referral.
